Emerging but limited evidence suggests that alcohol consumption has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic and that younger people were the most susceptible to increased alcohol use during last year. According to a RAND Corporation study women have increased their heavy drinking days by 41% compared to before COVID. In a wake of this “new pandemic” Aleksandar Zivkovic asked Dr Velibor Todorovic how we can notice first signs of alcohol addiction and how to fight it or help friends and family members who have the problem.
