The Federal Government has announced it will formally refuse to sign up to a key international agreement guaranteeing safe migration between countries. The federal government is pushing for new legislation targeting encrypted messaging to be passed quickly after this week's arrests over an alleged terror plot in Melbourne. Candidates in Victoria's state election are ramping up their campaigns ahead of Saturday's poll.
