Australian fashion brands not paying workers enough for basic needs, OXFAM reports

Oxfam Report titled Made in Poverty, part of the larger What She Makes campaigned, has revealed that the $23bn dollar fashion industry in Australia isn't paying workers enough. An intensive interview process of women in Bangladesh and Vietnam found that 100% of workers surveyed in Bangladesh and 74$ in Vietnam, could not earn enough to keep themselves fed for the month. So why are we letting the women who make our clothes go hungry? Sarah Rogan from Oxfam Australia and Breeze Mojel, from UNSW Canberra, spoke to SBS Serbian about the fashion industry and implications of our fast fashion addiction.
