The movie was made in Bolivia & Australia co-production and underlines the life of people with disabilities in Bolivia who are amongst the most discriminated in this country.
"Fed up with being ignored they embark on an unimaginable journey, marching 380km over the Andean mountains in their wheelchairs to speak with president Evo Morales. They’re met with riot police, barricades, teargas and water cannons" said festival's spokeswoman Masa Perunicic for SBS Serbian .
The International Festival of Ethnological Film in Belgrade is an event that offeres an insight into a wide range of ethnographic film themes and presents the work of filmmakers who explore both the traditional and modern lifestyles of human communities; it offers diverse insights, film forms and methodologies.
According to the press release, during the twenty-seventh International Ethnological Film Festival, 53 films from 27 countries will be shown. The Festival’s programme is divided into four parts – a competition selection featuring 26 films, an informative programme, a student programme and a special program.
Festival is held from 9th to 13th October at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade, with screenings taking place in the Yugoslav Film Archives and the Ethnographic Museum.
