The Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade reopened to visitors on Friday after a decade of rebuilding and adaptations, Hranislav Nikolic reports.
A large number of people flocked to Belgrade's Usce for a tour the renovated building and an exhibition titled "Sequences. Art of Yugoslavia and Serbia. Among them were Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Serbian National Assembly President Maja Gojkovic, the government announced.
Brnabic said that this was her "best day" since becoming a member of the Serbian government, as a cabinet minister, in August last year.
Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Slobodan Nakarada stated that this is a great day for Serbian culture, and announced that the museum will work continuously for the next seven days and nights, and that he hopes that the turnout will be the same as at today's opening.
