Calcium is the most common microelement in the human body. The average adult male contains about 1.5 kilograms, and a woman about 1 kilogram. About 99% of the body's calcium is found in bones and teeth. The other amount is found in the blood, lymph nodes and other body fluids, cell membranes, and in the cell.
