Climate change leading us into a new health crisis

International Earth Day was this year marked on the 22 April. In their official statement, the organisation lists climate change as one of the planets greatest threats, acknowledging also it's detrimental effect on human health. Professor Anthony Capon, director of the Planetary Health Platform at Sydney University, believes that climate change is a public health issue. Just last week, in the Medical Journal of Australia, Professor Capon and his colleagues published an analysis discussing whether the Australian health system is prepared to deal with the influx of climate change related heath issues that are to come. He joined the program to tell us more about their findings and working toward a solution.
