There could be a sigh of relief from European leaders following the defeat of Austria's far-right presidential candidate, Norbert Hofer. Many had feared an anti-establishment wave that produced Brexit and Donald Trump's election victory in the United States might also reach Austria.A win for Mr Hofer would have made him Europe's first freely elected far-right head of state since World War Two.
