Borislav Lalic is a Serbian novelist and journalist. From 1969 to 1974 he was a foreign correspondent for Serbian News Agency Tanjug from Cuba. In 1970 Lalic had published an article criticizing Castro's Government when failed to achieve significant growth or to reduce its dependence on the country's chief export, cane sugar. In that article Lalic pointed out that Castro has at last realized - it would be simpler to export a cane sugar then the revolution... And Castro hit back. In the meeting, in front of more than 400,000 people reflecting on Lalic's article he said that Yugoslav correspondents and revisionists will not give him a lecture how much cane sugar to produce....

Borislav Lalic met Fidel Castro face to face  few months after the incident and they had talk in a better spirit. He also had an opportunity to find out that there is another side of the Castro family: non-revolutionary and counter-revolutionary. Recently Lalic has published a book titled "Fidel Castro - a one man revolution".
