The federal government says losing the Syrian city of Raqqa is the beginning of the end for IS, but warns the fight against the group is not yet over. The Syrian Democratic Forces, an alliance of Kurdish and Arab militias, say the fighting is over, with reports claiming the last pockets of fighters holed up in the city's stadium have now been conquered. Losing the city is seen as potent symbol of IS' collapsing fortunes, having already lost much of its territory in Syria and Iraq this year.
