Drones have covered the sky over Serbia! Experts estimate that between 3,000 to 4,000 aircrafts are "cruising" in the air, although, according to official data of the Civil Aviation Directorate, only 150 registered users have the license to operate unmanned aircraft.
Every month, the Directorate receives at least 50 requests for a drone flights.
Their purpose of drones is different. Photographers use them to record weddings celebrations and film and TV producers for easy shooting from the air.

Drone use is allowed in Serbia, but there are several Serbia Drone Laws and regulations that need to be followed when flying in the country. Operators must ensure that they follow the following laws when flying in Serbia,
- Do not fly your drone over people or crowds of people
- Respect other peoples privacy when flying your drone
- Do not fly your drone near military installations, power plants, or any other area that could cause concern among local authorities
- Do not fly your drone near airports or in areas were aircraft are operating
- You must fly during daylight hours and only fly in good weather conditions
Serbia is a beautiful country and there are many places where you can capture amazing aerial photography while adhering to the drone laws in Serbia. Here is a video taken by Nathaniel Bockley showcasing Serbia’s beauty from above.
