Many observers are professing increasing scepticism about the future of the European Union (EU). Yet the vision which inspired the formation of the EU is too powerful to dismiss lightly. This was a primary focus of an international conference “Fulfilling the Vision: European Union Futures?” that convened jointly by the European Union Centres in Australia and New Zealand that took a place at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Melbourne on 16-18 October 2017.
