Gender equality in the Australian workplace may be up to 80 years away

Verity Faith, Director of Social Justice at University of Technology Sydney and former NSW Government Education Minister will be facilitating a panel today about gender quotas. Among the speakers will be Tim Soutphommasane, former Australian Race Discrimination Commissioner, as well as Amanda Collinge, Hon. Nick Greiner AC and Licia Heath. They're answering the question of whether "quota is a dirty word", and tackling challenges along the way to an equitable society. How long will it take for 50% of the population to be represented, fairly, in the workplace? We'll be waiting until at least 2100. Sofija Petrovic spoke to Verity ahead of tonight's panel.
