The Australian Embassy in Belgrade supported the Association Prostor to establish a Hearing Voices Network in Serbia which is one of the leading movements in the reform of psychiatry world-wide. Through our Direct Aid Program (DAP) we have financed training for psychiatrists and employees working in two most renowned psychiatric clinics in Serbia to develop self-help groups for people who hear voices, have unusual sensory perceptions, such as seeing visions and tactile sensations. A manual to assist future facilitators to establish self-help groups has also been supported through (DAP). Mr Glenn Morrison, First Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission attended the marking of the World Mental Heath Day on 10 October organised at Dom Omladine. www.facebook.com/AustraliainSerbia/
