Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban appears to have suffered a defeat in his referendum against the European Union's migrant quota plan after he failed to rally enough votes to reach the required 50 percent turnout. Over 90 per cent of voters supported the Prime Minister's 'No' campaign, but only 45 percent of the eight-million-strong electorate cast their ballots, making the vote invalid. But addressing supporters Mr Orban called the result outstanding claiming a political and legal victory .
