Increasing rates of serious illness in young people indicates they need to take COVID-19 seriously

The World Health Organisation has repeatedly told young people they are not immune to COVID-19 as more and more under 30s start to show serious symptoms of the illness

COVID-19 generally causes serious problems only in older people or those with chronic illnesses but occasionally it strikes down young, seemingly fit individuals. WHO and governments worldwide are calling on young people to take more responsibility.
