Labor call for $45 rise in minimum wage

The Australian government says it is looking forward to negotiating a free trade deal with the U-K, now it has formally begun the process of leaving the European Union. Australia's trade unions have launched a campaign pushing for a major hike in the country's minimum wage. A Labor politician has sharply criticised comments by a One Nation senator who said people were afraid to report crimes committed by Muslims because of race-hate laws.
