16th August has marked 50 years since first major excavations at Lepenski Vir, important Mesolithic archaeological site located right on the Danube shore in Serbia. The prehistoric settlement Lepenski Vir dates from middle stone age, 9500 BC to 7500 BC. Late Professor Dragoslav Srejović excavated the site and Professor Dr Milorad Stojic was a participating student. We ask him to flash us back at the 1967. and tell us a story of this unique archaeological site.
