Long-time Indigenous rights activist Bonita Mabo has died peacefully in her 70s, surrounded by family and loved ones. The wife of Eddie Koiki Mabo, who achieved historic land recognition for Indigenous Australians in the early 1990s, is being remembered as a devoted advocate for both Indigenous and South Sea Islander people.
