2018 saw events that pulled people apart and others that brought people together.The year began as tensions over nuclear weapons on the Korean peninsula rose to fever pitch. But in a seemingly impossible feat of diplomacy, Donald Trump secured a meeting with North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un, becoming the first United States President to meet a North Korean leader.
