About manganese and its characteristics, Aleksandar Zivkovic spoke to Dr. Velibor Todorović.
Some of the most important characteristics of manganese are the maintenance of bone health, the creation of important enzymes for bone building and its action as a coenzyme that participates in metabolic processes. In addition, manganese is involved in the formation of connective tissue, calcium absorption, proper functioning of the thyroid, regulation of sexual hormones, regulation of blood sugar levels, degradation of fat and carbohydrates.
Manganese is a mineral that appears in rather small amounts in the body. It is a powerful anti-oxidant that reduces the level of free radicals and neutralizes their harmful activity, thereby contributing to the prevention of damage that can occur due to the high level of free radicals.
