Tensions over the timing of a return to on campus learning have intensified with the federal education minister forced to apologise for an attack on the Victorian Premier.
Dan Tehan accused Daniel Andrews of failing to show leadership and damaging the education system.
But after it was later confirmed a teacher in the state had tested positive for COVID-19 , Mr Tehan issued a statement saying he had overstepped the mark.
