Russian ace Karen Khachanov has caused one of the shocks of the tennis year by overpowering a tired-looking Novak Djokovic 7-5 6-4 in the Paris Masters final to end the Serbian’s remarkable spell of dominance in the men’s game. However Novak Djokovic celebrated his return to the summit of world tennis with a stroll into the quarter-finals at the Paris Masters.

At Shenzhen 2 in China,  19-year-old Serbian tennis player Miomir Kecmanovic has reached his third Challenger final and the second of the season after a 7-5 6-4 win over Aleksandr Nedovyesov in an hour and 19 minutes. Miomir played well behind both the first and second serve and he lost just 12 points in 11 service games, facing one break point in the entire encounter. Miomir Kecmanovic becomes the eighth teen titlist of 2018

And Australia's Ashley Barty has advanced to the semi-finals of the WTA Elite Trophy after Caroline Garcia upset Aryna Sabalenka in China.
