Pauline Hanson has launched a strong attack on Islam in her maiden speech in the Senate. Labor has signalled its opposition to the plebiscite and accuses Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull of sabotaging the cause of same-sex marriage.The federal Assistant Minister for multiculturalism Zed Seselja says the government will consult with communities before acting on the Productivity Commission's migration report. Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says foreign political donations do not influence the government's foreign affairs policy.
