Increasingly, scientists and medical professionals are looking to the future of our healthcare systems. Are they equipped to deal with changes, and increases, in the number of patients in need of treatment? New landmark study has shown that cancer research and treatment is yet another field that needs urgent reassessment, according the findings more than 15 million people each year will need chemotherapy by 2040. Sofija Petrovic spoke to one of the authors, Dr. Brooke Wilson from the Kinghorn Cancer Centre about what it will take to make sure cancer sufferers get the treatment they need.
