Dr Terzin is in Sydney from 3 to 10 August. He already had talked at the three public free lecturers and today, on Friday and Saturday form 7pm there will three more lecturers at the Merrylands Community Center. Dr Terzin will reflect on the censored scientific discoveries as she sees it, talking about
"People are taking for granted that Earth is revolving around the Sun, that Sun is revolving around the center of our Galaxy, that our Galaxy moves in the Universe. And in all that the Earth doesn't have privileged position", said Dr Terzin.
"For thousand of years before that people believed that the Earth is the center of the Universe, that Sun is revolving around the Earth and that above all are stars rotating around the Earth as well. At that time Universe was perceived as much smaller as scientist didn't have telescopes to be able to observe and research the size of the Universe. And then in the Middle Ages Copernicus gave us a new concept: that Earth is rotating around the Sun. Copernican principle was the first serious clash between religion and science."
Professor Terzin says he doesn't endorse the idea about the flat Earth but he says he is open for the arguments to be taken in the account.
