Held on the 25th of April, Anzac Day was first created to honour those who fought at Gallipoli during World War One. The date refers to the day in 1915 when the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed in the Gallipoli Peninsula. But nowadays, the commemoration is for all veterans including Serbian veterans from WWI and WW2. 91 year old Tomo Banjanin was one of the founders of the 1st Serbian RSL Sub-branch of Ex-Servicemen and Chetniks in Victoria and all these years together with his brother Marko he organises their participation in the Anzac Day Commemoration March. "Tomorrow Serbian Ex-Servicemen will commence assembling in Flinders Street West (opposite Flinders street Railway Station) between Swanston St and Elisabeth St from 11 am with a scheduled step time of 12.35pm", said Toma Banjanin for SBS Serbian.
