Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates 800 years of autocephaly and 70 years of church life in Australia and New Zealand

Over 2 days, the Serbian community in Sydney celebrated a huge jubilee for the Serbian Orthodox Church. 800 years of autocephaly and 70 years of the church in Australia and New Zealand was marked by a formal concert in Castle Hill and community day at the future St. Sava College in Varroville. Among community members, parents and young children who performed, were esteemed members of the Serbian Orthodox Church as well as Bishop Siluan, Bishop of the Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand and Most Venerable Abbot of Monastery Hilandar on Mount Athos, Archimandrite Metodije.
