Every Friday evening, students from the Sv. Knez Lazar Serbian School meet to improve their knowledge of Serbian. Though the majority of students were born in Australia, they're working hard to keep their native language alive. Second and third generation Serbian kids are tackling tricky grammar and the Cyrillic alphabet head on, so they can keep traveling to Serbia and speaking to their Grandparents. The SBS National Languages Competition 2018 is searching for the amazing possibilities learning a language opens for you. Travel, family, or learning something new, whatever it may be, the competition is open to all Australians who are learning a language. To enter, head to sbs.com.au/nlc18.
