The Financial Review 2017 Young Rich List has showed Australia’s young and rich are getting richer – with the total wealth of all 100 on the list adding up to 13.2 billion.

For the sixth time in a row since 2007, the Atlassian co-founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar have been named at the top of the Financial Review Australia's Young Rich List. The pair’s combined wealth continues to climb hitting $6.07 billion in 2017, up from $4.6 billion on last year.

The 2017 list of richest young Australians is mostly made up of Technology, Financial Services and Property sectors.

This year there are 27 debutants on the list including the youngest debutants, Gold Coast duo Nik Mirkovic, 22, and Alex Tomic, 24, from teeth-whitening company HiSmile, with a combined wealth of $46 million. Their company only use social media and influencers to market their business.
