Turnbull condemn council over Australia Day change

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has led the condemnation of a Melbourne council that voted to drop references to Australia Day and cancel citizenship ceremonies on January the 26th. Senator Nick Xenophon has called for a citizenship audit to end unnecessary speculation around the eligibility of federal M-Ps. Attorney-Geneal George Brandis has moved to list the Islamic State East Asia group as a terrorist organisation. Venezuelans are being denied Australian visas because of the "volatile situation" in their home country.
