Vietnam blocks 50th-anniversary commemoration at Long Tan

The Prime Minister had urgent talks with his Vietnamese counterpart after a planned ceremony in Vietnam to mark the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan was canceled. Many veterans and their families were preparing to attend the ceremony today at the Long Tan memorial site when Vietnam told the Australian government of the cancellation.
