Sydney F-C became the 2018/19 W-League champions on Saturday with a 4-2 grand final victory over Perth Glory. Perth's men’s team had a better weekend, extending their lead atop the A-League ladder to nine points with a 4-nil win over Brisbane Roar. To basketball, and the Canberra Capitals have become W-N-B-L champions for the first time since 2010 after beating the Adelaide Lightning 93-73 in game three of the grand final series.
