Rifath Sharook, an 18 year old student from Pallapatti in Karur district in Tamil Nadu, has developed the lightest working satellite in the world, and NASA is set to launch it on 21 June. The four-centimeter cube satellite weighs 64 grams and includes sensors to measure temperature and radiation levels, among other data. The significant part is that the cube is 3D printed and uses carbon fiber. RaySel spoke to Rifath Sharook.
