Australian Cinema: Mad Max

Mad Max (dir. George Miller, 1979) is an Australian dystopian action film starring Mel Gibson. The film depicts a tale of societal collapse, murder, sexual assault and revenge set in a future Australia, in which an unhinged policeman becomes embroiled in a violent feud with a savage motorcycle gang.
