The film deals with one of the darkest chapters of the modern history of Australia. It may also be noted here that the Australian Government offered its apology to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within six years after the release of this film.In this episode on Australian Cinema, Dr Dhamu Pongiyannan presents an analysis of this iconic Australian film for SBS Tamil listeners.
