Australian officials still in Ukraine have been ordered to evacuate the country, as the Prime Minister today dismissed suggestions Russia is sending in "peacekeeping" troops to eastern Ukraine as "nonsense". Scott Morrison also confirmed Australia will follow its allies and impose sanctions in response to an invasion. The Opposition is also condemning the latest actions and emphasising Australia "is standing as one" on national security issues.
