The government's planned changes to citizenship eligibility laws have been torpedoed in the Senate, with the Greens claiming a "humiliating" victory over Immigration Minister Peter Dutton. The Turnbull Government's controversial plans to make it harder to become an Australian citizen now look unlikely to be passed in the near future.
