After the extraordinary move by Australia's energy operator to suspend the electricity market last week, AEMO has flagged the suspension could soon be lifted. Following a briefing with industry on Tuesday [[June 21]], it says the spot market could be re-instated if certain criteria are met, and there would still be a 24 hour period of monitoring before a decision is made. Scrutiny on energy companies around the country is growing, with the government seeking to look into reports of a potential gaming of the market. That story by Krishani Dhanji for SBS News, produced by Praba Maheswaran for SBS Tamil.
