In NSW, Tamil language is offered as a subject in HSC. Students’ language skills are tested in conversation, responding to an aural stimulus, responding to a variety of written material, writing for a variety of purposes and the culture of Tamil-speaking communities in texts. Top achievers in Tamil Continuers course were Puraathani Kirupaharan (first), Vahine Yogesan (second), Thenuka Kanagasabesan and Sibitha Velayudhur (equal third).
