The wife of a Tamil asylum seeker being deported from Australia to Sri Lanka has pleaded with the government to reverse the decision so they can raise their baby daughter together. Thileepan Gnaneswaran was denied a temporary protection visa and, on Friday, issued with a removal notice by the Department of Home Affairs. He was forced to leave behind his wife, Karthika, and their 11-month-old daughter. Renuka presents a feature on this.
