As Australia is facing an intense energy crisis, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has proposed a $ 2 billion scheme to expand snowy river hydro project. Earlier, the South Australian Premier, Jay Weatherill, announced a $500 million energy project involving the worlds biggest battery storage in the state to avoid the future blackouts in the state. Dhamu Pongiyannan (the University of Adelaide) speaks to the eminent energy advocate Mark Henley (Uniting Communities) to examine the reasons for the present energy crisis in Australia.
