The Malaysian Education Ministry introduced dual language programme (DLP). However, some oppose the implementation of the DLP in Tamil vernacular schools. They claim that the DLP would affect the students mother tongue education. Mr Maran Nandan Sithambaram, a solicitor and barrister from the Suprem Court of NSW and currently lecturing law in Multimedia University in Malaysia, explains the issue.
