Mannar Mannan, a Tamil scholar and son of legendary poet Bharathidasan, died on Monday in Puducherry, India after prolonged age-related illness. Mannar Mannan, 91, has won several awards including the Kalaimamani and Tamil Mamani; and has written over 50 books, including a memoir on his father, “Karuppu Kuyilin Neruppu Kural.” He has also worked at the All India Radio, Puducherry.
