The Prime Minister is defending his government's economic record as inflation figures spark fears of an interest rate rise during the election campaign.


The costs are mounting politically and for vulnerable Australians, price rises hitting the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community - as the opposition leader prepares to come out of isolation.
