Priya family in custody again

Since the Department of Home Affairs had rejected the request by Tharnicaa Nadesalingam for Ministerial Intervention citing that the request does not meet the Minister's guidelines on ministerial power (s46A), the family was deported last night. However, a last minute injunction issued by a judge called for the family to be 'deplaned' at Darwin. The family was kept at a motel with guards placed outside, however, now they have been taken to a military base, according to activists who voice for this family's freedom. Kulasegaram Sanchayan spoke to Priya Nadesalingam today and prepared this story.
