The president of Sri Lanka has fled the country, days after protesters stormed his home, office and the official residence of his prime minister. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa appointed PM Ranil Wickremesinghe as acting president after fleeing. This is an analysis by Mr M M Nilaamdeen LL.B, B.com.
