Tamil creative workers working in media in Singapore censor themselves, says Ms.Malini Radakrishna who is pursuing a PhD with Auckland University of Technology. Her research title is: How ethnic Indian creative workers navigate and negotiate their identity in the media arena of Singapore and in the content that they create. She received a Masters of Communication from Nanayang Technological University, Singapore. She was a Silver medallist in B.A. at Oklahoma City University. Malini has been working in multimedia for many years. She worked in the holy trinity of Singapore media (Vasantham TV, Oli 96.8FM, Tamil Murasu broadsheet) and also TV and radio in India (Sun Music, Jaya TV, Vasanth TV, Vijay TV and Aha FM) and radio in Sri Lanka (Swarna Oli102.2FM). RaySel spoke to Malini on various issues that include Singapore Tamil media, ethnic identity and the challenges of people working in media in Singapore. Interview: Part 2.
