Thamil Thadam: Periyar

E.V. Ramasami, or Periyar as he was popularly known, was an ardent fighter, an avowed revolutionary and a hard-headed rationalist. E.V.R. was simple and humane. Periyar propagated the principles of rationalism, self-respect, womens rights and eradication of caste. His work has greatly revolutionised Tamil society and has significantly removed caste-based discrimination. Selvi presents Thamil Thadam on Periyar.
