Australia is now officially in a recession -- the first in almost three decades -- and a further 400,000 workers are expected to lose their jobs between now and Christmas. While the government has called this "the COVID recession" the Opposition says it will be longer and deeper than necessary because economic stimulus was rolled out too late and is being wound back too soon.
